My resume

I’m Romain zünd

Born May 17, 1996, I grew up and did all my scholarship in Bussigny. Once my compulsory course was over, mechanics, as well as robotics and automation, interested me, that is why I became an automation specialist at the Technical School of Lausanne.

At the age of 19, I went under the flag for nine months in the armoured troops in Thun to become a sergeant and discover the spirit of camaraderie and team, once back home, I immediately pack my bags to learn English in London for five months, an enriching and cultural experience.

September 2016, I started a Bachelor in mechanical engineering at the engineering school in Yverdon which I finished in 2019, with the chance to have been able to do a semester in Norway at the University of Agder.

At 23, I started my professional life at one of the world’s leading suppliers of substrate processing, printing and converting equipment and services for the label, flexible packaging, folding carton and corrugated industries. To familiarize me with industrial mechanics.

I am currently taking online courses at the Technical University of Munich to obtain the Green Belt six sigma certification.

Later I would like to develop my own business in the field of 3D printing and Computer Aided Design

During my studies at the HEIG-VD, I was able to develop my knowledge in mechanics, such as the strength of materials as well as the simulation and computer-aided design.

This school gave me the chance to study abroad and I meet there new cultures and discovered new languages. This experience reinforced my professional choice.

I also developed my organizational and communication skills such as my teamwork, my sense of observation and my ability to solve problems. The combination of those skills helps me to adapt myself in a new environment.

During my apprenticeship at ETML, I gained practical experiences such as wiring, pneumatics and hydraulics, electronics, troubleshooting and general mechanics.

During my free time, I keep my
knowledge up-to-date by making mini-projects with my 3D printer and my laser cutting machine.
